Middle Seat of Foulsheils sits upon the corner of the road that Runs from Blackburnhall to Longridge. Currently known as Mid Foulshiels, It was originally called Middle Seat to distinguish it from another farm further to the east called ‘Mid Foulshiels (Now East Foulshiels). Whilst yet another Foulshiels sat about a Hundred yards further along the road to the east further still.
